Here at the Sittingbourne Photographic Society our season runs from September through to May. That gives us all a nice break over the summer in which we get to practice and hone our creativity.
To help, we set our members a series of Summer Challenges - a kind of fun, informal competition with various themes that gets judged during a meeting in the following season's. These challenges inspire some wonderful images - please enjoy the winning images below.
Summer Challenges 2018
1. Something Rusty
2. A gate or gates
3. A boat or boats
4. A sculpture
5. A tombstone or tombstones
6. A reflection
7. An orchard
8. Stairs or steps
This challenge can be done individually or in groups of up to three people. Three images for each category must be submitted and all categories must be completed. The idea is to stretch yourself over the summer break and give you something different to photograph.
Entries must be in on or before the 5th September 2018. Any submitted later than that will not be included for judging. Please email them to me, firstname.lastname@example.org They should be resized as for DPI competitions.
I hope you find this challenge interesting and most of all have fun with it.
