Here at the Sittingbourne Photographic Society our season runs from September through to May. That gives us all a nice break over the summer in which we get to practice and hone our creativity.

To help, we set our members a series of Summer Challenges - a kind of fun, informal competition with various themes that gets judged during a meeting in  the following season's. These challenges inspire some  wonderful images - please enjoy the winning images below.

2019 Summer Challenge

  • This challenge can be done individually or in pairs.

  • Three images for each category must be submitted and all categories must be completed.

  • These images should be taken between the 16th May and the 11th Sept.

  • The idea is to stretch yourself over the summer break and give you something different to photograph

  • Entries must be in no later than the 11th September 2019.

  • Please email them to me, blissgirls2000@hotmail.com.

  • They should be resized as for DPI competitions and titled with your name and category.

  • Judging will take place on the 25th Sept.

 

 Subjects: 

  1. A tree or trees

  2. A wheel or wheels

  3. Environmental rubbish

  4. Shoes (with or without feet)

  5. Repetition

  6. A window

  7. A shadow

  8. An unusual or funny sign
